Rosewood has a LOT more zombies in it, mostly I think courtesy of the nearby prison. On the higher population difficulties you can end up fighting thousands of zeds in and around Rosewood. Riverside, by contrast, has the least amount of zombies of any decently sized town on the map.I think such a drive takes about 6 hours in-game time, under 10 minutes IRL. The main highway through the map has some pileups, but you can either find another route, or go over the grass, but you may need to cut some trees.
