Nov 13, 2017 · My lawn tractor is a 2013 Husqvarna YTH18K46. It has a Kawasaki FR600V engine and K46 transmission. It just started losing power uphill without any warning. Downhill mow speed is normal and flat terrain is slightly limited. There is no loss of engine power though. An unresponsive engine is arguably the most common problem with Husqvarna riding lawn mowers. Engine startup failure can be caused by routine maintenance issues, a dirty/clogged fuel filter, a damaged spark plug, a clogged carburetor, a faulty fuel pump, a damaged ignition coil, and a broken recoil spring.
