The 327-300 engine used the double hump heads, with larger 1.94" and 1.5" valve size, larger port intake manifold with larger Carter AFB carb, and larger dump ram's horn exhaust manifolds. The basic shortblocks of the two 327s were basically the same. More than likely your block number is 870.3991492 Camel hump heads on 307. Found a set of #3991492 heads on a local online board which Mortec shows as being 1970 camel humps with 2.02 valves 64cc chambers with acc. holes will these work better then my current heads which are 624's 76 cc chambers and i believe 1.94 valves .

Keep in mind that most 461 double-hump heads have 1.94”/1.50” valves, only the select few used on L79, L76, and L84 engines had the larger valves.Heads made to run 1.94 and 2.02 intake valves are the same castings. The problem with adding bigger fuelie style cylinder heads like the 461 or 462 is that, while these heads increase airflow over a stock 283 head, this also increases the combustion chamber volume. Those double-hump heads generally have 64cc chambers. The stock 283 used a 58cc chamber.Because in the history of the SB Chevy 283, the ONE and ONLY 283 to come with double hump heads from the factory, was the 1961 275hp or 315hp/283 fuel injected Corvette engine!
