I had this happen to a hemnes nightstand. What I found was that the material over time started to sag at the front on the base of the drawer (not the drawer itself, but the dresser enclosure, if that makes sense). To fix it in my situation, I took the drawers and sanded and repainted them to ensure a proper fit.
